The Ice is Clearing

With less than a month to go before we arrive in Tasiilaq, the ice is begining to clear from the coast of East Greenland.

This is a link to Hendrik's web cam that overlooks the town and the bay beyond Tasiilaq harbour.

    Preparations... given that my usual gear for a 2 week trip fills a car boot, and this time it has to fit in airline baggage. What do I REALLY need, what can do two jobs, is there a lighter version, how much food do I take and how much do I buy there? Service the stove, laminate maps, buy currency, spare batteries, what about a solar charger?
